April 17, 2020 – Typically, this time of year we would be gearing up for the Huntsville Heart Walk. Because of COVID-19 the event has been postponed to Saturday, June 27. Fundraising efforts are underway now and we hope you will join Team IMS in our goal of raising $15,000. Already, we are off to a great start! On the City-Wide Heart Rally Day on April 16, Team IMS raised more than $2,500 in one day putting us in the Top 3 local companies for fundraising and recruiting!
While we know that COVID-19 has created some new challenges for all of us, it is more important than ever to rally around our community organizations. The Heart Walk supports the American Heart Association’s efforts to raise critical, life-saving funds in not only the fight against heart disease but now also COVID-19 complications. 120 million Americans have one or more cardiovascular conditions that put them at a higher risk for COVID-19 complications. The American Heart Association’s mission is more important than ever as we work to fast-track scientific projects to
investigate the specific cardiovascular implications of COVID-19 and continue mission-critical work.
Heart health is a cause we strongly believe in supporting. We all know someone who has been impacted by heart disease. IMS President/CEO, Hank Isenberg is a triple bypass survivor and is a very active supporter of the American Heart Association. In previous years, he has served as chair of the Heart Walk & Heart Ball and helped raise awareness and life-saving dollars for heart health.
The IMS Well-Being Committee invites you, your family and friends to join Hank and IMS in supporting the Heart Walk. Sign up today!
